Keep the glow going |

Everyday Angel Cards is the art of Sue Shanahan and the heart of Dyan Young. Dyan founded the company as a way of honoring the memory of her youngest son’s life. Tragically Dana was killed in a car accident in October 2003. Dyan spent the first year after his passing grieving her loss. In time, it came to her that she needed to put her energies into celebrating Dana’s life. Her son had an exceptionally warm heart and loved children. Dyan had the notion to create a card company in his memory with a portion of the profits being donated to children’s charities. This would help keep Dana’s spirit alive.

After several calls and meetings, Dyan and Sue joined forces to create a card company. They christened it Everyday Angel Cards for the ordinary, everyday children that inspire Sue’s drawings and paintings. They envisioned creating cards with images so beautiful they were referred to as a work of art. The cards would be affordable art that could be put into frames to continue to uplift and inspire. With these thoughts in place, they went full speed ahead.
The launch of Everyday Angel Cards became official in January 2008. The mission statement of the company is “To heal and uplift the giver and receiver of our cards”. It is Sue and Dyan’s way of keeping the glow going.
